Apple is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Accessibility Engineer to join its Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) Accessibility Center of Excellence (CoE) team in Hyderabad. The role involves conducting accessibility audits, identifying compliance gaps, testing web applications using assistive technologies, and providing actionable recommendations for remediation. Working closely with experienced accessibility professionals, you will help ensure compliance with global accessibility standards while supporting teams in building inclusive user experiences. Roles & Responsibilities

1. Conduct accessibility evaluations and audits of websites, web applications, and digital platforms to identify usability barriers for users with disabilities.
2. Perform detailed testing using assistive technologies such as VoiceOver, JAWS, NVDA, screen readers, keyboard navigation tools, and accessibility testing frameworks.
3. Document accessibility findings clearly and accurately, providing actionable recommendations that help development teams resolve accessibility issues efficiently.
4. Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, developers, and business stakeholders to incorporate accessibility requirements during project planning and implementation.
5. Review front-end code and user interface components to ensure compliance with accessibility standards and best practices.
6. Assist engineering teams in understanding accessibility requirements and support remediation efforts throughout the software development lifecycle.
7. Participate in accessibility reviews during product development phases to ensure inclusive design principles are integrated from the beginning.
8. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of accessibility guidelines, standards, training materials, and internal documentation.
9. Support the development and improvement of accessibility testing tools, processes, and methodologies to enhance organizational efficiency.
10. Stay informed about emerging accessibility technologies, regulations, and industry best practices to continuously improve accessibility programs.
11. Work with cross-functional teams across multiple projects while effectively managing priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
12. Advocate for inclusive digital experiences by promoting accessibility awareness and helping build a culture of accessibility throughout the organization.

Requirements & Eligibility

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related engineering discipline.
2. One to two years of professional experience in web accessibility, front-end development, usability testing, or related technical fields.
3. Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end development concepts.
4. Experience conducting accessibility testing and evaluating web applications using assistive technologies such as VoiceOver, JAWS, or NVDA.
5. Familiarity with accessibility standards, guidelines, and best practices, including WCAG principles and inclusive design methodologies.
6. Knowledge of accessibility testing methodologies, issue identification, remediation workflows, and accessibility reporting processes.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify accessibility barriers and recommend effective solutions.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
10. Eagerness to continuously learn new technologies, accessibility tools, industry standards, and emerging digital accessibility trends.
11. Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships across engineering, design, product, and business teams.

Expected Salary

The expected salary for an Accessibility Engineer at Apple India typically ranges between ₹12 LPA and ₹28 LPA depending on experience, accessibility expertise, front-end development skills, and overall technical proficiency.
