Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts, system events, and incident notifications to identify potential cyber threats, investigate unusual activities, and escalate critical security issues to senior security professionals when required.
- Assist in analyzing security incidents by collecting evidence, reviewing logs, identifying root causes, and supporting timely incident response to minimize business and operational risks.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity controls that protect organizational systems, applications, networks, and sensitive business data against internal and external threats.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises to identify security weaknesses, validate existing controls, and recommend practical remediation measures.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure, networking, and application teams to ensure systems comply with established cybersecurity standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate security documentation, including incident reports, standard operating procedures, risk assessments, security policies, and compliance records for audit readiness.
- Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats, malware trends, ransomware attacks, phishing campaigns, and newly discovered vulnerabilities to improve organizational security awareness and preparedness.
- Assist during internal and external security audits by preparing documentation, collecting evidence, validating security controls, and supporting compliance with industry frameworks.
- Contribute to governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) activities by helping identify business risks, evaluating security controls, and supporting risk mitigation initiatives.

Requirements & Eligibility
- A Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical discipline is required for this position.
- Candidates with 0โ1 year of experience, including fresh graduates with cybersecurity internships, academic research, capture-the-flag competitions, or security projects, are encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, access control, encryption, and secure system design principles.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls, antivirus solutions, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), endpoint security, and SIEM tools is highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of computer networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, VPNs, routers, switches, and network communication protocols is essential.
- Ability to analyze security logs, investigate alerts, recognize suspicious activities, and perform structured troubleshooting using analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001, or other governance and compliance frameworks will be considered an advantage.
- Basic programming or scripting knowledge in languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash is beneficial for automation, security analysis, and incident investigation.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or similar entry-level cybersecurity certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, teamwork, adaptability, and a genuine passion for learning cybersecurity technologies are essential for success in this role.
