As a Graduate Engineer Trainee, you will play a critical role in ensuring the uninterrupted availability of materials required for production and business operations. The position focuses on inventory management, material planning, procurement coordination, supplier collaboration, and shortage resolution activities. You will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, managing material schedules, supporting production requirements, and working closely with suppliers and sourcing teams to optimize material flow. Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Manage material ordering, scheduling, and inventory planning activities to ensure uninterrupted support for manufacturing and production requirements.
  2. Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock availability while achieving targeted inventory business metrics and operational goals.
  3. Utilize Oracle systems and digital supply chain tools to manage inventory records, material tracking, and procurement activities efficiently.
  4. Ensure systemic inventory accuracy by regularly validating inventory data and identifying discrepancies for timely resolution.
  5. Coordinate material rescheduling activities, including pull-ins for urgent requirements and push-outs to maintain inventory control objectives.
  6. Investigate daily material shortages, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize production disruptions.
  7. Collaborate closely with suppliers to support replenishment planning, packaging requirements, inventory optimization, and supply continuity.
  8. Conduct regular shop floor and receiving dock inspections to identify and resolve material receiving, storage, or transportation issues.
  9. Support material transfer activities between facilities and coordinate with sourcing teams during supplier review processes.
  10. Assist in New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives by managing phase-in and phase-out activities to reduce obsolete inventory.
  11. Prepare inventory reports, performance metrics, and operational updates to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
  12. Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency, inventory management, and manufacturing productivity.

Requirements & Eligibility

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from a recognized university.
  2. Fresh graduates or candidates with limited industry experience who are eager to build a career in manufacturing, supply chain, and operations management.
  3. Basic understanding of material planning, inventory control, procurement processes, and manufacturing operations.
  4. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems such as Oracle, SAP, MRP, or similar inventory management platforms will be an added advantage.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to identify operational issues and implement effective solutions.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  7. Ability to work with data, reports, and inventory metrics to support operational decision-making and business objectives.
  8. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail while handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across manufacturing, sourcing, procurement, logistics, and engineering functions.
  10. Proactive attitude, learning agility, and willingness to take ownership of tasks and contribute to process improvements.
  11. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, for reporting, data analysis, and operational tracking.
