HARMAN Automotive is looking for passionate and innovative Associate Engineers specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with Python to join its engineering team in Bangalore. As an AI/ML Engineer, you will work on developing next-generation Agentic AI applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), machine learning algorithms, and scalable cloud services. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will contribute to innovative automotive and enterprise AI solutions that redefine user experiences through intelligent automation and advanced data-driven technologies.

In this role, you will actively participate in designing, developing, testing, and deploying AI-powered applications using Python and modern AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn. You will build RESTful APIs, backend services, cloud-native microservices, and scalable AI workflows while integrating advanced technologies including vector databases, embeddings, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Elasticsearch, and AWS cloud services. The position also provides hands-on exposure to machine learning model development, feature engineering, natural language processing (NLP), transformers, CI/CD pipelines, software deployment, and modern software engineering best practices. Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and develop intelligent Agentic AI workflows by integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), planning mechanisms, memory components, and AI tools to automate complex business processes efficiently.
• Build scalable AI-powered applications using modern frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Python while ensuring high performance, maintainability, and production readiness.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Django, Flask, FastAPI, Robyn Framework, or Vert.x to support cloud-native AI applications and enterprise software solutions.
• Implement Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines by utilizing vector databases, embeddings, semantic search techniques, and knowledge retrieval systems for enhanced AI responses.
• Participate in machine learning model development, feature engineering, data preprocessing, model evaluation, and optimization to improve prediction accuracy and business outcomes.
• Build and maintain secure web applications and microservices by implementing authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, and other industry-standard security practices.
• Develop asynchronous background processing tasks using Celery to efficiently handle AI workloads, model execution, and distributed processing requirements.
• Work with databases including MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and ScyllaDB while designing efficient data storage, indexing, retrieval, and search functionalities.
• Containerize AI applications using Docker and assist with deployment, orchestration, and scalability through Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Support machine learning model training, CI/CD pipeline implementation, software deployment automation, and cloud hosting using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Collaborate with software engineers, AI researchers, DevOps engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to deliver innovative AI solutions.
• Continuously explore emerging AI technologies, Generative AI frameworks, cloud platforms, and automation tools while contributing innovative ideas that improve engineering productivity and solution quality.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree or final-year student in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Information Technology, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Zero to one year of professional experience, or strong academic projects, internships, research work, or personal projects in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Software Development.
• Strong programming knowledge in Python is mandatory, while familiarity with Go, Java, JavaScript, SQL, or other programming languages will be considered an added advantage.
• Good understanding of machine learning fundamentals, supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, feature engineering, data preprocessing, and model evaluation techniques.
• Hands-on experience with popular AI and Machine Learning libraries including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, and related Python-based data science tools.
• Basic knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Transformer architectures, Large Language Models (LLMs), OpenAI models, LLaMA, Hugging Face, LangChain, or LlamaIndex frameworks.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, SQLAlchemy, web application development, HTML, CSS, and modern backend architecture concepts.
• Exposure to Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines, software version control, Docker containers, Kubernetes orchestration, and cloud deployment practices.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), cloud-native application development, distributed systems, and scalable microservices architecture.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, teamwork, adaptability, and a strong willingness to continuously learn emerging AI technologies and software engineering practices.
• Practical knowledge of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, embeddings, Elasticsearch, Redis, Jenkins, Kibana, or open-source AI projects will be considered a significant advantage.

The expected salary for an Associate Engineer – AI/ML with Python at HARMAN in India typically ranges between ₹8 LPA and ₹14 LPA, depending on educational qualifications, internship experience, AI/ML project portfolio, technical expertise, and interview performance.
