As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and supporting Empower applications while ensuring optimal system performance and business continuity. Roles & Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and support Empower applications to ensure reliable performance, stability, and alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Manage application workflows by configuring processes, monitoring execution, and optimizing workflow efficiency to support enterprise operations.
• Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) for project planning, work item management, sprint tracking, build coordination, and software delivery activities.
• Use Jira to manage defects, user stories, tasks, sprint backlogs, and project progress while ensuring transparent communication across Agile teams.
• Collaborate with software developers, quality assurance engineers, business analysts, and project managers to deliver high-quality software solutions within project timelines.
• Investigate application issues, perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot technical problems, and implement effective resolutions to minimize system downtime.
• Support software testing activities by coordinating defect resolution, validating fixes, and ensuring application quality before production deployment.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, workflow documentation, and operational procedures to support ongoing maintenance activities.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions while contributing to continuous process improvement.
• Continuously enhance technical expertise by learning new DevOps practices, workflow automation techniques, enterprise technologies, and software engineering best practices.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical discipline from a recognized institution.
• Practical experience in Empower Configuration, including application configuration, workflow management, system support, and maintenance activities.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for project tracking, build management, work item management, and Agile software delivery processes.
• Proficiency in Jira for defect tracking, sprint planning, issue management, collaboration, and project reporting within Agile development environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies, Scrum practices, workflow management, and collaborative project execution.
• Knowledge of software testing concepts, defect lifecycle management, test automation processes, and software quality assurance practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and deliver efficient solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with development teams, testers, stakeholders, and clients across multiple projects.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards, meeting deadlines, and adapting to changing project requirements.
• A proactive learning attitude with enthusiasm for expanding knowledge in DevOps, enterprise software engineering, cloud technologies, and digital transformation initiatives.

Expected Salary

The expected salary for the Software Engineer role at CGI in Hyderabad generally ranges between ₹6 LPA and ₹10 LPA, depending on the candidate's experience with Empower Configuration, Azure DevOps, Jira, Agile delivery, and overall technical expertise.
