Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise software applications that support healthcare products and digital medical technologies.
  • Develop clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code while following software engineering best practices, coding standards, and organizational quality guidelines.
  • Participate in software design discussions, feature implementation, and technical documentation while collaborating with experienced software engineers.
  • Support software verification, validation, debugging, testing, and defect resolution to ensure stable, secure, and high-quality software releases.
  • Contribute to creating innovative technology prototypes and implementing software features that improve healthcare products and user experiences.
  • Analyze application logs, identify root causes of software issues, and implement effective technical solutions to improve application performance.
  • Learn and utilize software development tools, integrated development environments, version control systems, build automation tools, and testing frameworks.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, sprint planning sessions, and collaborative engineering activities to continuously improve development quality.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, testers, architects, and project managers to achieve successful project delivery.
  • Continuously enhance technical knowledge by learning emerging programming technologies, software engineering methodologies, cloud platforms, and healthcare technology innovations.

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Students pursuing or graduates holding a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software development principles.
  • Basic knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, Python, or similar modern programming languages.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), debugging techniques, software testing concepts, and version control systems will be advantageous.
  • Understanding of software engineering concepts including design patterns, multithreading, inter-process communication, and modular application development is preferred for the Trainee role.
  • Basic knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Agile methodologies, or modern software engineering practices will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Passion for innovation, healthcare technology, enterprise software development, and continuous technical learning.
  • Willingness to work from the Bengaluru office while actively participating in collaborative engineering activities and professional development programs.

Expected Salary

For the Technical Intern role, Siemens Healthineers generally offers a monthly stipend ranging from β‚Ή25,000 to β‚Ή45,000, depending on academic background, technical skills, and internship structure. For the Trainee – Technical position, the expected annual salary typically ranges between β‚Ή6 LPA and β‚Ή9 LPA, based on educational qualifications, programming knowledge, and interview performance.
