NVIDIA is seeking highly motivated and talented candidates for the position of ASIC Verification Engineer to join its advanced SoCV (System-on-Chip Verification) and Emulation Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for building scalable tools and automation frameworks used across RTL simulations, C-model simulations, FPGA environments, emulation platforms, and post-silicon validation systems. You will gain deep exposure to NVIDIA’s Tegra SoC architecture, boot mechanisms, security subsystems, memory management units, DMA engines, interrupt controllers, and other critical hardware components. The work involves creating reusable verification solutions that enable design and validation teams to efficiently test hardware functionality across multiple platforms. Your contributions will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, performance, and security of NVIDIA’s complex semiconductor products before and after silicon availability.

This position also provides valuable experience in silicon bring-up, hardware debugging, bare-metal programming, and hardware validation methodologies. You will collaborate closely with hardware architects, verification engineers, software developers, and platform teams to develop innovative solutions that improve verification efficiency and product quality. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain verification infrastructure, test frameworks, and automation tools used across RTL simulation, FPGA validation, emulation environments, and silicon bring-up platforms.
  • Design scalable software solutions that enable hardware design and verification teams to access registers, memory subsystems, DMA engines, interrupt controllers, and SoC peripherals efficiently.
  • Build and enhance reusable test environments that support verification activities across multiple hardware validation stages, ensuring consistency and improved productivity.
  • Understand and analyze NVIDIA Tegra SoC architecture, including boot sequences, security mechanisms, memory management systems, and hardware interfaces.
  • Create bare-metal test frameworks and low-level software applications that execute directly on hardware platforms without relying on operating systems.
  • Develop and validate pre-silicon simulation models and infrastructure that allow engineers to test critical SoC functionalities before silicon fabrication.
  • Collaborate with hardware design, firmware, validation, and architecture teams to identify issues, implement fixes, and improve overall product quality.
  • Participate in silicon bring-up activities by developing tools and utilities for hardware initialization, debugging, performance validation, and functional testing.
  • Contribute to the development of debugging and diagnostic tools supporting hardware validation, system verification, and post-silicon testing processes.
  • Analyze verification results, troubleshoot hardware-software integration issues, and implement solutions to improve system reliability and performance.
  • Document technical specifications, testing methodologies, verification procedures, and software frameworks to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.
  • Continuously explore emerging verification methodologies, automation technologies, and semiconductor industry best practices to enhance development efficiency.

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 0–2 years of experience in hardware verification, embedded software development, semiconductor engineering, firmware development, or related technical domains.
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python, with the ability to develop scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software solutions.
  • Good understanding of System-on-Chip (SoC) Architecture, processor design concepts, hardware interfaces, and embedded computing systems.
  • Knowledge of hardware components such as DMA Controllers, Interrupt Controllers, MMU, IOMMU, Boot Devices, CPUs, Memory Subsystems, and Security Modules.
  • Familiarity with Operating System Concepts, Device Drivers, Embedded Systems Programming, and Bare-Metal Software Development.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle, hardware validation processes, debugging techniques, testing methodologies, and quality assurance practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex hardware and software issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, enabling effective interaction with multidisciplinary engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to learn advanced semiconductor technologies, verification methodologies, simulation frameworks, and hardware validation tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Silicon Bring-Up, FPGA validation, emulation platforms, or hardware debugging environments.
  • Experience with C++ Testbenches, SystemVerilog, UVM (Universal Verification Methodology), or hardware verification frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Verilog and SystemVerilog for RTL development and hardware verification activities.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor product development, chip validation processes, and embedded software frameworks.
  • Academic projects, internships, or research work related to digital design, embedded systems, ASIC verification, or semiconductor engineering.

Expected Salary

The expected salary for an ASIC Verification Engineer at NVIDIA India typically ranges between ₹12 LPA and ₹22 LPA for candidates with 0–2 years of experience, depending on academic background, technical expertise, internship experience, and interview performance.
