Job Description

Marmon Technologies India Private Limited, a part of Marmon Holdings backed by Berkshire Hathaway, is hiring Graduate Engineer Trainees for its Software QA Engineering team. As a Graduate Engineer Trainee, you will work on testing software applications and connected IoT devices used in Marmon Foodservice Technologies. The role provides hands-on exposure to modern software quality engineering practices, automated testing frameworks, continuous integration, API testing, and product validation while working alongside experienced QA engineers and software developers in a collaborative environment.

During the training period, you will actively participate in the complete Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), including test planning, test case creation, automation scripting, defect management, execution, reporting, and quality validation. You will gain practical experience with automation tools such as Selenium and PyTest, scripting using Python, C, and C++, API testing, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines. Roles & Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases to validate software applications, embedded systems, and connected IoT devices.
2. Participate in software quality assurance activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
3. Develop automation scripts using Python, Selenium, PyTest, C, and C++ while improving automation framework efficiency and test coverage.
4. Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and system testing to ensure software reliability, performance, and compliance with business requirements.
5. Identify, document, reproduce, track, and verify software defects using bug tracking tools such as JIRA while collaborating closely with development teams.
6. Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments, automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous testing workflows.
7. Validate software functionality against both functional and non-functional requirements while ensuring high product quality standards.
8. Collaborate with software developers, hardware engineers, product managers, and QA teams to resolve technical issues and improve software quality.
9. Prepare detailed test reports, defect summaries, automation documentation, and testing artifacts for project stakeholders.
10. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by recommending automation enhancements, testing optimizations, and process improvements.
11. Learn modern testing methodologies, IoT testing practices, version control systems, and continuous integration tools through hands-on project work.
12. Support debugging, log analysis, root cause investigation, and troubleshooting activities to ensure timely issue resolution and successful product releases.

Requirements & Eligibility

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
2. Fresh graduates with academic projects, internships, or practical exposure to software development, software testing, automation, or scripting are encouraged to apply.
3. Strong programming fundamentals in Python, C, and C++ with the ability to write clean, structured, and reusable code.
4. Basic understanding of software testing concepts, QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, Agile development, Waterfall model, and V-Model testing approaches.
5. Familiarity with automation testing tools such as Selenium, PyTest, API testing concepts, and automation framework fundamentals.
6. Knowledge of defect lifecycle management, bug reporting, JIRA, Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions will be advantageous.
7. Understanding of object-oriented programming, debugging techniques, version control systems, and software validation processes.
8. Basic knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, OSI model, communication protocols, Linux or Windows command-line operations, and IoT fundamentals.
9. Excellent analytical thinking, logical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and attention to detail.
10. Positive learning attitude, willingness to work in a collaborative environment, readiness to travel when required, and enthusiasm for continuous technical development.

Expected Salary
