Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and implement Building Management System (BMS) solutions using the NIAGARA N4 platform to support intelligent building automation projects.
- Develop software logic, control sequences, and automation programs for HVAC systems while ensuring reliable and efficient system performance.
- Analyze customer requirements and translate functional specifications into scalable automation solutions that meet project objectives and industry standards.
- Configure controllers, devices, sensors, and communication protocols for seamless integration within building automation environments.
- Perform software testing, validation, troubleshooting, and debugging activities to ensure system reliability, functionality, and compliance with project requirements.
- Support commissioning, system integration, and deployment activities while resolving technical issues during implementation and post-installation phases.
- Collaborate with project managers, field engineers, and global engineering teams to deliver automation projects within defined quality standards and timelines.
- Prepare technical documentation, engineering reports, system configurations, and project deliverables while maintaining accurate project records.
- Monitor HVAC system performance and recommend optimization strategies that improve energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and operational reliability.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance engineering processes, software quality, and project execution efficiency.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies in building automation, industrial IoT, cloud-connected systems, and smart infrastructure solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Honeywell engineering standards, safety guidelines, cybersecurity practices, and customer-specific technical requirements.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from a recognized university.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems, building automation concepts, and industrial control systems used in commercial and industrial facilities.
- Hands-on knowledge of the NIAGARA N4 platform, including system configuration, application development, and building management functionalities.
- Programming skills in automation software, scripting languages, or software development concepts relevant to industrial control applications.
- Understanding of communication protocols commonly used in building automation such as BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, or similar industrial networking technologies is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose technical issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
- Good knowledge of software testing methodologies, debugging techniques, and system validation processes within automation environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong willingness to learn new technologies, adapt to evolving engineering requirements, and contribute to continuous innovation initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple technical tasks, prioritize project deliverables, and maintain high-quality engineering standards in a fast-paced work environment.
Expected Salary
The expected salary for the Systems Engr I position at Honeywell in Pune generally ranges between ₹5 LPA and ₹8.5 LPA, depending on educational qualifications, technical expertise, internship experience, and interview performance.
