The role is centered around backend software development, AI-powered search functionality, distributed systems engineering, and microservices architecture. Candidates will work closely with experienced engineers, AI teams, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to design, build, and maintain reliable backend services that support search accuracy, content discovery, and intelligent automation capabilities. Engineers will gain practical exposure to modern enterprise technologies including C#, .NET, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and event-driven architectures. This role also provides opportunities to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), conversational AI systems, large language models (LLMs), and AI-powered search solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and microservices that support AI-powered search, content discovery, and enterprise platform functionality.
• Contribute to distributed systems development by building scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend services for SaaS applications.
• Develop and optimize RESTful web services, APIs, and backend workflows using C#, .NET, and related enterprise technologies.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, product managers, frontend developers, and UX teams to integrate AI-driven features across the Seismic platform.
• Implement search-related capabilities including indexing, retrieval, ranking logic, semantic search, and AI-enhanced content discovery mechanisms.
• Work with PostgreSQL and relational databases to design queries, optimize performance, and manage backend data operations efficiently.
• Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing scalable cloud-native applications.
• Participate in performance monitoring, troubleshooting, debugging, and backend optimization activities to improve system reliability and query latency.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and software deployment processes to ensure efficient release management.
• Assist in implementing event-driven architectures and backend integrations using technologies such as Kafka and distributed messaging systems.
• Develop automated tests using tools such as xUnit, Postman, and related testing frameworks to maintain software quality and reliability.
• Continuously learn and apply emerging technologies related to Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), conversational AI, and enterprise search systems.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in backend software engineering, microservices development, or enterprise application development.
• Strong understanding of C# and .NET technologies including object-oriented programming, backend services, and web application development.
• Familiarity with Spring concepts such as REST APIs, distributed systems, service-based architectures, and backend engineering best practices.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, including SQL query writing and performance optimization basics.
• Basic exposure to Redis, caching technologies, or in-memory data storage systems used in scalable applications.
• Familiarity with Docker, containerized applications, and Kubernetes-based deployment environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts, software deployment pipelines, and automated development workflows used in modern DevOps environments.
• Understanding of automated testing methodologies using tools such as xUnit, Postman, or similar testing frameworks.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure and familiarity with cloud-native services.
• Interest or knowledge in AI technologies including Generative AI, conversational AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), semantic search, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Strong analytical thinking, debugging abilities, communication skills, and problem-solving mindset in fast-paced engineering environments.
