As a KYC Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for creating, reviewing, validating, and maintaining customer KYC records by collecting information from internal systems, regulatory databases, and external sources. Your daily responsibilities will include verifying company formation documents, ownership structures, customer identification information, regulatory records, and compliance documentation while ensuring adherence to Citi's internal policies and global regulatory requirements. You will work closely with Relationship Managers, Compliance teams, AML specialists, and other stakeholders to resolve documentation issues, investigate discrepancies, escalate high-risk cases, and complete KYC records within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This role also involves monitoring operational metrics, maintaining workflow systems, generating reports, and supporting continuous process improvements across compliance operations.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Create and maintain accurate Know Your Customer (KYC) records by collecting, validating, and updating customer information from internal systems, regulatory databases, and approved external sources.
- Review corporate documents, ownership structures, company registration records, customer identification information, and regulatory documentation to ensure compliance with Citi's global KYC standards.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Compliance teams, AML specialists, and business stakeholders to obtain missing information and facilitate timely approval of KYC records.
- Conduct research using company websites, regulatory portals, business databases, and publicly available information to verify customer details, identify negative news, and assess potential compliance risks.
- Validate Customer Identification Program (CIP) documentation, ensuring all required information is complete, accurate, and consistent with regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies.
- Monitor KYC workflows, update case statuses, maintain accurate records within workflow management systems, and ensure all mandatory fields and documentation remain current.
- Meet daily productivity targets by completing KYC reviews, maintaining service quality, and ensuring compliance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Identify discrepancies, incomplete documentation, suspicious activities, or high-risk customer profiles and escalate them promptly to senior case managers, compliance teams, or AML specialists.
- Prepare operational reports, maintain workflow logs, monitor key performance metrics, and communicate project updates, escalations, and operational issues to supervisors and management.
- Support departmental initiatives, process improvement activities, compliance projects, and operational excellence programs while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance at all times.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Law, Management, or any other recognized discipline from an accredited university.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with 0–3 years of experience in banking, financial services, compliance, operations, legal services, or risk management will also be considered.
- Basic understanding of Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), financial compliance, customer due diligence, and banking regulations will be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to collect, verify, interpret, and validate information from multiple internal and external sources accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional email etiquette, stakeholder management abilities, and customer service orientation are essential.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the capability to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining data accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment while handling confidential customer information with professionalism and integrity.
- Understanding of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with familiarity with workflow management systems and business reporting tools.
- Awareness of Artificial Intelligence concepts, including Machine Learning and Generative AI, and an understanding of how emerging technologies can improve business processes will be considered an added advantage.
- Professional certifications such as ACAMS (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists) or knowledge of European Union KYC/AML regulations are desirable but not mandatory.
