Job Description:

The Financial Analyst role at American Express is a high-impact opportunity within the Card & Merchant Accounting and Controls (CMAC) team, which plays a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of card operations and accounting processes. The role also involves investigating financial discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution, and supporting month-end and quarter-end closing activities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain financial integrity of accounts receivable (AR) ledgers and related accounting processes.
• Perform reconciliation of sub-ledgers and ensure accuracy in financial records and reporting.
• Support month-end and quarter-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with finance, treasury, and technology teams to implement solutions for reporting and accounting processes.
• Support the Sale of Receivable process and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Develop and deploy analytics to provide insights into financial data and support business decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for process simplification, automation, and efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide updates on financial processes and risks.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent, or CA Inter/Postgraduate with relevant experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards such as US GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with AR systems and financial platforms is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to understand financial processes and identify linkages across systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and financial systems.

Expected Salary:

For a Financial Analyst with 1–3 years of experience in Gurugram, the typical salary ranges between ₹7 LPA to ₹14 LPA, depending on accounting expertise, analytical skills, and experience with financial systems.
