Job Description:

The Associate Data Product Analyst role at Swiss Re is an excellent opportunity for data-driven professionals to work at the intersection of analytics, business strategy, and technology within the reinsurance domain. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Technical Accounting, Valuation, Experience Studies, and IT to gather requirements and translate them into structured data solutions. You will design and implement tactical data products, build efficient data pipelines, and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data. By leveraging tools like SQL, Python, and Power BI, you will uncover trends, develop key metrics, and provide insights that directly influence product and business performance.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed product and data requirements. Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
  • Translate business needs into clear and actionable user stories, functional specifications, and product documentation for development and implementation teams.
  • Design, develop, and implement tactical data products using modern data tools and frameworks. Support onboarding and adoption of these products across teams.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that can drive strategic decision-making and improve business performance.
  • Develop and maintain key performance metrics and dashboards to measure product success and provide continuous insights to stakeholders.
  • Create detailed reports and presentations to communicate complex data insights in a clear, concise, and business-friendly manner.
  • Work closely with IT teams to enhance existing systems, support data migration processes, and transition tactical solutions into scalable strategic platforms.
  • Perform data mapping, ETL processing, and integration to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and reliability across multiple sources.
  • Design and implement complex client data setups, ensuring proper structuring and alignment with business requirements.
  • Participate in Agile and Waterfall project methodologies, contributing to planning, execution, and delivery of data initiatives.

Requirements & Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, with at least 3+ years of relevant experience in data analysis or product analytics roles.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or R, with hands-on experience in data manipulation, analysis, and automation.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server, including database design, querying, and optimization techniques.
  • Experience in data mapping, ETL processes, and data integration, ensuring seamless data flow across systems and platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, enabling the creation of insightful dashboards and reports.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques such as exploratory data analysis (EDA), predictive modeling, and prescriptive analytics.
  • Experience working with large volumes of structured and unstructured data, with the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets.
  • Knowledge of data integration tools such as Palantir or similar platforms is preferred and adds value to the role.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to conceptualize and implement data-driven solutions effectively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
