Goldman Sachs is seeking highly analytical and detail-oriented professionals to join its Global Banking & Markets Operations division as a Credit Sales & Trading Services Analyst. As part of the Credit Operations team, you will collaborate closely with Sales, Trading, Engineering, and Operations stakeholders to manage and monitor derivative and physical trading transactions. Analysts are responsible for ensuring that transactions are accurately processed while maintaining compliance with internal controls and evolving regulatory requirements. Through daily interaction with front-office teams and clients, you will gain deep exposure to credit products, structured transactions, and financial market operations while developing expertise in risk mitigation and operational excellence.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end processing of credit and derivative transactions by ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely execution of operational activities.
- Perform trade matching, trade validation, and trade checkout activities while identifying and resolving booking discrepancies across complex financial products.
- Coordinate with Sales and Trading teams to investigate operational issues and ensure trade-related discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Manage confirmation and settlement processes for derivative and credit products while maintaining compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
- Draft, review, and validate trade documentation to ensure economic and legal terms accurately reflect executed transactions.
- Monitor operational reports, identify process failures, investigate breaks, and implement corrective actions to minimize operational risk.
- Engage with technology teams and business stakeholders to support the resolution of technical production issues affecting transaction processing.
- Analyze post-trade workflows and recommend process enhancements that improve efficiency, accuracy, and risk management.
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding trade confirmations, settlements, operational inquiries, and issue resolution.
- Support risk oversight activities by escalating critical operational issues and ensuring appropriate governance procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with global operations teams, engineering teams, and business partners to drive operational excellence across credit trading processes.
- Continuously review existing processes and contribute ideas that strengthen controls, improve service quality, and enhance client satisfaction.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline with a strong academic record.
- Basic understanding of financial markets, investment banking operations, capital markets, and credit-related products.
- Knowledge of derivative instruments and key concepts such as premiums, strike prices, expiration dates, and settlement mechanisms will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with financial market terminology, trade lifecycle management, and post-trade processing activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to investigate complex operational issues and identify effective solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy while handling large volumes of financial transactions and operational data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for analysis, reporting, and documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and consistently meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to build productive relationships across departments and global teams.
- Understanding of ISDA agreements, credit products, structured transactions, and settlement processes will be considered a strong advantage.
- Self-motivated attitude with a willingness to learn, adapt to changing business requirements, and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Strong organizational skills, risk awareness, and the ability to identify potential operational vulnerabilities before they impact business operations.
Expected Salary
The expected salary for a Credit Sales & Trading Services Analyst at Goldman Sachs India generally ranges between ₹10 LPA and ₹18 LPA depending on educational qualifications, academic performance, technical skills, internship experience, and financial market knowledge.
