Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute detailed test cases based on functional requirements, ensuring accurate validation of software features.
• Analyze test results and identify defects, raising issues with appropriate priority and severity levels.
• Collaborate with project teams to understand requirements and contribute to effective test planning and estimation.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage by including positive, negative, and edge-case scenarios in testing.
• Log, track, and manage defects through to resolution, ensuring timely closure and quality assurance.
• Execute automation test scripts and support automation initiatives within the QA team.
• Follow QA best practices and established processes to maintain consistency and quality across projects.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of QA tools, methodologies, and delivery frameworks.
• Document test activities, project deliverables, and testing outcomes clearly for internal and external stakeholders.
• Continuously improve domain knowledge and testing capabilities through active learning and participation.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, with a strong foundation in software testing concepts.
• 1–3 years of experience in manual or automation testing, preferably in digital or enterprise applications.
• Understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and QA methodologies.
• Experience in writing and executing test cases, including functional and regression testing.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools and processes for managing bugs effectively.
• Basic knowledge of automation testing tools and scripting is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in testing activities.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work within project timelines efficiently.
• Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and testing practices to enhance skills.

Expected Salary:

For a Test Analyst (Contract) role in Bangalore with 1–3 years of experience, the expected salary typically ranges between ₹4 LPA to ₹9 LPA, depending on skills, testing exposure, and project experience.
