Job Description

Zycus is hiring an AI Engineer – Intern in Bangalore for an exciting early-career opportunity focused on artificial intelligence, generative AI, automation, and intelligent business solutions. This full-time hybrid role is suitable for 2026 engineering graduates and candidates with 0–1 years of experience who are interested in applying AI technologies to real-world business problems. Zycus operates in the Source-to-Pay procurement software space and uses its AI-powered Merlin platform to help enterprises improve procurement efficiency, automation, compliance, and decision-making. As an AI Engineer Intern, candidates will work closely with senior leaders and global teams across implementation, support, customer success, and expansion functions, gaining practical exposure to AI adoption and enterprise technology applications.

The role focuses heavily on AI experimentation, process discovery, rapid prototyping, and workflow automation. Interns will help identify inefficiencies across support, implementation, and customer success workflows and contribute ideas for AI-powered improvements. Candidates may develop small-scale prototypes such as chatbots, workflow automations, dashboards, and other practical solutions using low-code tools, Python, notebooks, APIs, or related technologies. The position provides an opportunity to explore modern AI and Gen-AI approaches while testing ideas with internal teams and validating their business value. Candidates with familiarity with Python, APIs, JSON, data handling, AI/ML concepts, or automation tools will be well positioned to contribute to these initiatives and develop their technical skills through hands-on experimentation.

The AI Engineer Intern at Zycus will also support pilot deployments, monitor basic usage metrics, gather feedback, and help improve AI-driven solutions based on real user experiences. Documentation and knowledge sharing are important components of the role, with interns contributing to prompt libraries, reports, demos, internal documentation, and knowledge-transfer materials. Exposure to technologies such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI APIs, chatbots, AI agents, and automation frameworks can provide an additional advantage. Working with global Delivery, Support, and Customer Success teams will help candidates understand how AI can improve customer-facing operations within a SaaS environment. For 2026 graduates passionate about artificial intelligence, GenAI, automation, and practical problem-solving, this internship offers meaningful exposure to enterprise AI applications and cross-functional collaboration.
