Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Create, review, and execute detailed test cases based on business requirements, technical specifications, and user stories to ensure software quality and functionality across applications.
  2. Perform manual testing and support automation testing activities for various software modules, ensuring all features operate accurately and meet expected performance standards.
  3. Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using bug tracking tools while collaborating with developers to ensure timely issue resolution and product stability.
  4. Participate in regression testing and smoke testing activities whenever new software builds are released to verify application reliability and prevent functionality breakdowns.
  5. Work closely with QA engineers, developers, and cross-functional teams to understand software behavior, analyze issues, and provide constructive testing feedback.
  6. Assist in validating functional, integration, and acceptance testing scenarios to ensure applications perform seamlessly across different environments and workflows.
  7. Learn and utilize tools such as JIRA, Confluence, QA dashboards, and reporting systems to maintain accurate testing documentation and defect tracking records.
  8. Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of test environments required for executing software testing activities effectively and efficiently.

Requirements & Eligibility

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, MCA, or a related technical field with strong academic understanding of software systems and applications.
  2. Basic knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), including testing methodologies and defect management practices.
  3. Familiarity with software testing concepts such as functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, smoke testing, and acceptance testing processes.
  4. Understanding of bug lifecycle management and experience using defect tracking or project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
  5. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify software issues, troubleshoot defects, and recommend quality improvements effectively.
  6. Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate professionally with developers, testers, and project stakeholders.
  7. Willingness to learn automation testing, scripting technologies, and emerging QA practices including AI-driven software testing and automation frameworks.
  8. Exposure to academic projects, internships, or certifications related to software testing, automation, programming, or quality assurance will be considered an advantage.
