Job Description

Tata Communications is seeking a skilled Engineer for Software & Application Development to join its technology team in Pune. In this role, you will contribute to the development, testing, deployment, and debugging of enterprise software applications that support the company’s digital connectivity platforms. Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop scalable and efficient software applications using modern programming languages and development frameworks.

• Write clean, maintainable code and test cases to ensure application reliability and performance.

• Participate in the software development lifecycle including coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.

• Identify software defects, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues.

• Provide support for production environments by troubleshooting system errors and performance issues.

• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of software modules and system components.

• Conduct development testing and report identified bugs or performance issues to project supervisors.

• Track development progress and generate reports on project timelines, rework, and system improvements.

• Maintain software documentation and development calendars to ensure timely project execution.

• Monitor application performance and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and reliability.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Around 3 years of experience in software development or application development roles.

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, or PHP.

• Experience working with database systems such as MySQL for backend data management.

• Knowledge of debugging techniques and software troubleshooting methodologies.

• Familiarity with software development environments, version control systems, and development tools.

• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing processes.

• Ability to design and execute effective test cases to ensure software quality.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills for resolving technical issues.

• Good communication and teamwork abilities for working with cross-functional development teams.
