Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks, libraries, and test suites for web and backend applications.
• Perform both manual and automated testing for UI components, APIs, and databases, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Scrum teams, including developers and product owners, to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Develop and execute regression, functional, and integration test cases, ensuring application stability across releases.
• Automate test scenarios for new features and existing functionalities, improving testing efficiency and reducing manual effort.
• Validate data accuracy by executing database queries and ensuring consistency across systems.
• Install, configure, and maintain testing environments for validating new software releases.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve defects, working closely with development teams for timely issue resolution.
• Support customers and internal teams by troubleshooting product issues and providing technical insights.
• Continuously improve QA processes, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance product quality and team productivity.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a strong foundation in software testing and development.
• 3–6 years of experience in QA automation or software testing, with hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver using Java.
• Strong knowledge of API automation using REST Assured, enabling effective backend testing and validation.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, SQL, and Shell scripting.
• Experience with version control systems like Git, ensuring efficient collaboration and code management.
• Strong understanding of SQL and database testing, including writing complex queries for data validation.
• Familiarity with test management tools such as JIRA and TestRail for tracking defects and managing test cases.
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC processes, ensuring structured and efficient testing workflows.
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS and performance testing tools like k6 is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in Agile environments.

Expected Salary:

For an Automation QA Engineer with 3–6 years of experience in Pune, the typical salary ranges between ₹7 LPA to ₹16 LPA, depending on expertise in Selenium, API testing, and automation frameworks.
