Job Description:
Mastercard is hiring a Software Quality Engineer II in Pune to join its innovative engineering team focused on building secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions in the digital payments ecosystem. As a Quality Engineer, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure that applications meet high standards of performance, reliability, and user experience. You will actively participate in Agile development processes, design and execute test cases, and build automation scripts using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Karate, or Rest Assured. The role also involves working with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and containerized environments, giving you exposure to cutting-edge DevOps and cloud-native testing practices.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Participate in sprint planning and contribute to designing and executing comprehensive test cases for various features and releases.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Karate, or Rest Assured to improve testing efficiency.
- Execute functional, regression, and API testing to ensure high-quality product delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth integration and deployment processes.
- Perform performance and resilience testing using tools like JMeter under guidance to evaluate system stability.
- Contribute to BDD/TDD practices and maintain code quality using tools like SonarQube.
- Identify, document, and track defects, providing actionable feedback to improve product quality.
- Work with microservices-based architectures and cloud environments to validate application performance and scalability.
- Stay updated with the latest testing tools, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve quality engineering processes.
Requirements & Eligibility:
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2β5 years of experience in software testing or test automation within Agile environments.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Karate, or Rest Assured.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and modern software development practices.
- Basic knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter for evaluating system performance.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and version control systems like Git.
- Exposure to containerization tools such as Docker and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and API testing.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and contribute to continuous improvement in quality engineering practices.
Expected Salary:
