In this Software Engineer role, you will participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including system analysis, software design, coding, debugging, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop robust, efficient, and maintainable software applications using C and C++ while following established coding standards, software engineering practices, and project requirements to deliver high-quality embedded solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and optimize embedded software components for defense and industrial systems, ensuring high reliability, scalability, and real-time performance across multiple hardware platforms.
  • Work extensively with Linux, VxWorks, QNX, and other embedded operating systems to implement software modules that support complex real-time applications and distributed computing environments.
  • Analyze software architecture, identify system bottlenecks, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions that improve overall system stability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Design and implement software utilities, debugging tools, built-in diagnostics, and automated testing frameworks that accelerate development cycles and improve software maintainability.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, quality assurance specialists, and project stakeholders to gather technical requirements, resolve software issues, and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain communication modules supporting protocols such as Serial Communication, Ethernet, CAN, ModBus, MIL-STD-1553, NMEA, and other industrial communication interfaces.
  • Participate in troubleshooting customer-reported software issues by investigating logs, reproducing problems, identifying root causes, and implementing permanent corrective solutions.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and performance validation to ensure software meets functional, reliability, and quality expectations before deployment.
  • Maintain technical documentation, software design specifications, development reports, and test records while actively participating in code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from a recognized university with strong academic performance.
  • Strong programming proficiency in C and C++ with the ability to develop efficient, modular, and optimized applications while understanding memory management, object-oriented programming concepts, and software design principles.
  • Solid understanding of operating system fundamentals, particularly Linux, VxWorks, and QNX, including process management, memory management, synchronization, scheduling, and inter-process communication.
  • Knowledge of multithreaded and multiprocess programming concepts with practical understanding of concurrency, synchronization mechanisms, deadlock prevention, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with distributed software architecture and communication protocols including Ethernet, CAN, Serial Communication, ModBus, NMEA, VLANs, IP networking, and related embedded communication technologies.
  • Experience using development and collaboration tools such as Linux development environments, Git, Jira, debugging utilities, and software configuration management systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical thinking and debugging capabilities with the ability to investigate complex software issues, perform systematic troubleshooting, identify root causes, and implement effective technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, documentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional engineering environments while managing multiple technical responsibilities.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), software testing methodologies, version control practices, code reviews, and quality assurance principles to deliver reliable software solutions.
  • Candidates with internship experience, academic projects, embedded systems exposure, or knowledge of real-time operating systems, communication interfaces, and large-scale software development environments will have an added advantage.
