Job Description
Johnson Controls is looking for an IT Tech Support Analyst to join its Information Systems team in Pune. In this role, you will support business operations by analyzing data, maintaining planning systems, and assisting with the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. The position focuses on ensuring smooth coordination between sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams by providing reliable insights and maintaining accurate planning data. As an analyst, you will play an important role in monitoring operational performance metrics and supporting business decisions through data-driven analysis.
The IT Tech Support Analyst will be responsible for supporting the monthly S&OP cycle by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting business data related to demand planning, inventory levels, and sales performance. This role requires working with enterprise planning systems and data analysis tools to maintain forecasting accuracy and ensure alignment between business objectives and operational plans. By generating reports, dashboards, and insights, the analyst will help teams understand trends and identify potential risks affecting supply chain performance.
Additionally, this role involves improving operational processes by identifying opportunities to automate reporting tasks and optimize data workflows. The IT Tech Support Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to reconcile demand forecasts with business goals and maintain system data integrity. This position provides valuable exposure to supply chain analytics, business intelligence tools, and enterprise resource planning systems used in global organizations.
Roles & Responsibilities

Support the end-to-end Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle by preparing reports and data summaries required for demand, supply, and executive review meetings.

Analyze historical sales data, inventory levels, and market trends to identify forecasting risks and operational performance gaps.

Develop dashboards and reports that provide insights into supply chain performance, sales trends, and inventory optimization opportunities.

Maintain data accuracy in planning systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms used for demand and supply management.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, finance, supply chain, and marketing to align planning strategies with business goals.

Monitor key performance indicators such as forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and operational efficiency metrics.

Identify root causes of forecasting errors and recommend corrective actions to improve demand planning processes.

Automate routine reporting tasks using data processing and automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.

Document planning processes, system configurations, and operational workflows to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment between business planning strategies and operational execution.
Requirements & Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, business analytics, or operations analysis roles.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, data modeling, and analytical reporting.

Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or O9 used in enterprise supply chain management.

Knowledge of business analytics techniques used to analyze sales trends, demand forecasting, and inventory management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required to identify operational issues and recommend improvements.

Experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple business units and geographic regions.

Good communication and presentation skills to explain analytical insights to business stakeholders.

Ability to work effectively in global environments and coordinate activities across different time zones.

Familiarity with automation tools such as Alteryx or UiPath is considered an added advantage.
Expected Salary
The average salary for an IT Tech Support Analyst or S&OP Process Analyst in India typically ranges between ₹6 LPA to ₹12 LPA, depending on experience, analytical expertise, and familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain planning tools. Candidates with strong data analytics skills and experience in enterprise planning systems may receive higher compensation along with performance-based benefits.
