Job Description

Google is hiring a Web Application Engineer to join its Google Cloud Platform (GCP) team in Bengaluru or Pune. This role offers the opportunity to build and maintain scalable, enterprise-grade web applications deployed on cloud infrastructure. Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications deployed on Google Cloud infrastructure.

• Implement front-end solutions using Angular and integrate them with backend services built in Java, Python, or JavaScript.

• Collaborate with product managers and technical leads to deliver high-quality cloud-based implementations.

• Translate client requirements into secure, reliable, and functional web applications.

• Integrate authentication and authorization mechanisms to ensure application security.

• Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications on public cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform.

• Work with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams to meet evolving business needs.

• Participate in code reviews, testing cycles, and continuous integration processes.

• Explore and adopt emerging cloud technologies and methodologies to enhance solution delivery.

• Ensure applications meet enterprise-grade performance, reliability, and scalability standards.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Hands-on experience with Angular for building modern, responsive web applications.

• Experience working with public cloud providers, preferably Google Cloud Platform.

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

• Understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks in web applications.

• Familiarity with cloud marketplace concepts and differentiators among cloud service offerings.

• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, globally distributed teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to scalability and performance.

• Google Cloud Platform certification or other cloud certifications (preferred).

• Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn emerging cloud technologies.

Expected Salary

For a Web Application Engineer at Google in Bengaluru or Pune, the expected annual compensation typically ranges between ₹18 LPA and ₹30 LPA, depending on experience, cloud expertise, and technical proficiency in Angular and backend technologies. Candidates with strong GCP exposure and relevant certifications may receive offers toward the higher end of the range.
