FIS – VBA Developer with C#.Net

Job Description:

FIS, a global leader in financial technology solutions, is hiring a VBA Developer with C#.Net to join its Product Development team in Pune. This role supports the Integrated Payables (IP) project, which focuses on automating and streamlining B2B payment processing across the FIS ecosystem. As businesses and financial institutions increasingly rely on digital payment systems, your expertise will help ensure accurate file integration, secure data processing, and seamless payment operations that comply with diverse banking standards worldwide.

In this role, you will design and develop solutions that integrate payment files into the Integrated Payables System. Working with technologies such as VBA, C#.Net, and HP Exstream, you will interpret client payment file structures, validate formats, and map data according to FIS specifications. Your work will involve building and supporting transaction devices for POS-pay, ACH, and wire payments while ensuring compatibility with different banking infrastructures. This position demands strong analytical thinking and technical precision to maintain data integrity and transaction reliability.

You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot system issues, analyze logs, and implement fixes or enhancements to maintain platform stability. The role offers exposure to fintech product development, payment processing technologies, and enterprise-level financial systems. By contributing to innovative payment automation solutions, you will play a key role in delivering secure, efficient, and scalable financial services that power modern digital banking ecosystems.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain applications using VBA and C#.Net to support payment processing workflows and financial integration systems.

2. Create resources and configurations to integrate B2B payment files into the FIS Integrated Payables System with accurate data mapping.

3. Validate incoming payment files for proper structure and ensure alignment with banking standards and integration requirements.

4. Utilize HP Exstream software and C#.Net to interpret client payment files and export standardized data formats.

5. Build and maintain transaction processing devices such as POS-pay, ACH, and Wire integrations for banking clients.

6. Design checks, advice slips, and payment templates based on sample mockups to ensure correct formatting and compliance.

7. Investigate system errors by reviewing logs, analyzing recent changes, and implementing fixes through code updates or configuration adjustments.

8. Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to ensure efficient implementation of payment solutions.

9. Maintain code repositories using version control tools such as Git and Bitbucket for collaborative development.

10. Ensure adherence to industry best practices in coding, testing, deployment, and documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

2. 3–6 years of professional experience as a VBA Developer with strong exposure to application development.

3. Demonstrated expertise in VBA programming and C#.Net development for enterprise-level software solutions.

4. Strong understanding of relational databases and proficiency in SQL for data management and optimization.

5. Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket for maintaining code integrity.

6. Familiarity with HP Exstream or similar document composition and data processing tools is beneficial.

7. Experience working on financial systems, payment processing platforms, or banking integrations is an advantage.

8. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize application performance.

9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.

10. Ability to manage project tasks effectively while delivering reliable and scalable software solutions.

Expected Salary:

For a VBA Developer with C#.Net and 3–6 years of experience in Pune’s fintech and product development sector, the typical salary range usually falls between ₹8 LPA to ₹14 LPA depending on expertise in C#.Net development, database management, and financial payment systems. Candidates with strong fintech domain experience and enterprise integration knowledge may receive compensation toward the higher end of industry benchmarks.
