Job Description

CACTUS is hiring an Intern โ€“ Product Management to join its Products and AI Solutions team in a remote-first setup across India. As a leading technology company specializing in AI-driven research and enterprise solutions, CACTUS builds platforms that enhance how research is funded, published, discovered, and communicated. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of product strategy, data analytics, and B2B sales intelligence. You will derive actionable insights from large-scale datasets, product usage metrics, and market intelligence to influence enterprise product decisions and sales enablement strategies within the university and library ecosystem.

In this role, you will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, and Customer Success teams to define workflows for institutional users such as researchers, faculty members, and librarians. You will translate business requirements into structured product inputs and help shape rollout strategies for enterprise platforms. With strong SQL and data visualization skills, you will analyze product lifecycle metrics and sales pipeline data to drive strategic recommendations. This internship is ideal for candidates interested in B2B SaaS product management, enterprise analytics, and AI-powered platforms, offering hands-on exposure to real-world product development and growth strategy execution.


Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Support the Product team in building and enhancing enterprise platforms tailored for universities, research institutions, and libraries.

  2. Analyze large datasets and product usage data using SQL to generate insights that influence product roadmap and sales strategies.

  3. Define and document workflows for institutional users, translating business requirements into actionable inputs for engineering and design teams.

  4. Create dashboards and reports using Excel and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to track key product metrics.

  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Design, and Customer Success to ensure smooth product rollouts.

  6. Assist in identifying gaps in product engagement and recommend improvements based on customer analytics and behavioral data.

  7. Contribute to sales intelligence initiatives by analyzing pipeline data and supporting go-to-market strategy refinement.

  8. Prepare structured documentation and presentations summarizing data findings and strategic recommendations.

  9. Monitor product lifecycle metrics, customer adoption trends, and enterprise account performance indicators.

  10. Take ownership of assigned analytical tasks while working effectively in a remote-first, asynchronous collaboration environment.


Requirements & Eligibility

  1. Currently pursuing a Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.

  2. Strong proficiency in SQL for data analysis, including the ability to query, aggregate, and interpret large datasets.

  3. Experience using Excel and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for creating dashboards and reports.

  4. Ability to translate analytical findings into strategic product and sales recommendations in clear, structured formats.

  5. Understanding of product lifecycle metrics, SaaS KPIs, and sales pipeline concepts within enterprise business environments.

  6. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate insights effectively to cross-functional stakeholders.

  7. Highly organized and self-motivated, capable of working independently in a remote-first work culture.

  8. Interest in B2B SaaS, enterprise product strategy, AI-driven platforms, or sales enablement initiatives.

  9. Prior internship or academic project experience involving customer analytics, sales strategy, or product operations is advantageous.

  10. Ability to manage time efficiently, document work clearly, and collaborate across time zones using digital communication tools.


Expected Salary

Product Management internships in India, particularly within SaaS and AI-driven organizations, typically offer stipends ranging between โ‚น20,000 to โ‚น40,000 per month depending on technical expertise and academic background.
