Candidates joining this role will gain practical exposure to modern testing methodologies, test automation frameworks, defect management processes, and collaborative software development practices.

In this role, trainees will work closely with software developers, product teams, and engineering professionals to validate application functionality, identify defects, and improve product quality. The position includes both manual testing and automation testing, covering web applications, backend services, APIs, and data-driven systems. Candidates will learn how to create test scenarios, design test cases, execute regression and integration tests, and document issues effectively. Exposure to tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, PyTest, JUnit, and TestNG will help trainees build strong automation skills that are highly valued in the software industry. The role also offers opportunities to understand Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) processes in a real-world environment.

This position is particularly suitable for candidates who enjoy analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail. Quality engineering is no longer limited to finding defects; modern QA professionals contribute directly to product stability, faster releases, automation efficiency, and customer satisfaction. At Zapare Technologies, trainees will work in an environment where quality is integrated into every stage of software development. Through mentorship, hands-on assignments, and practical learning, candidates can build a strong foundation for careers in Software Testing, Automation Testing, Quality Engineering, Performance Testing, DevOps Testing, and Product Engineering. This role provides an excellent opportunity to start a technology career in a fast-growing organization focused on innovation, AI-driven solutions, and enterprise software development.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Analyze business and technical requirements to understand application functionality and convert them into detailed test cases, test scenarios, and testing strategies that ensure complete feature validation.
  2. Execute manual testing activities for web applications, backend systems, APIs, and data-driven workflows to verify that software functions correctly according to business expectations.
  3. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or other automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and reduce repetitive efforts.
  4. Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure that new features, enhancements, and bug fixes do not negatively affect existing application functionality.
  5. Identify, log, and track software defects by documenting issues clearly with steps to reproduce, expected results, actual outcomes, screenshots, and technical observations.
  6. Collaborate closely with development teams to investigate issues, understand root causes, verify fixes, and ensure defects are resolved before software releases.
  7. Validate backend components and data pipelines by checking data accuracy, process execution, business rules, and system integrations to maintain reliable software performance.
  8. Participate in test planning activities and contribute to improving testing methodologies, quality standards, and automation practices within the engineering team.
  9. Support continuous quality improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues, suggesting process improvements, and helping increase product stability.
  10. Maintain testing documentation and reports including test cases, automation scripts, execution summaries, defect logs, and quality metrics for effective project tracking.
  11. Learn and apply software testing best practices including SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and modern quality engineering concepts.
  12. Contribute to product reliability and customer satisfaction by ensuring software releases meet expected standards of functionality, usability, performance, and quality.
