Job Description:

In this role, you will primarily work as an Application Developer, focusing on Java and web technologies to design, develop, and support enterprise applications. You will gain hands-on experience in Java/JEE frameworks, transaction management, and system integration while applying modern software engineering principles. The role also involves working with DevOps tools, understanding software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, and implementing best practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Agile methodologies.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support enterprise applications using Java/JEE technologies, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Work with frameworks and scripting languages such as Ruby or Groovy to enhance web application functionality.
- Implement transaction management and integrate enterprise systems to ensure seamless data flow and system operations.
- Apply software development methodologies such as dependency injection, inversion of control, and aspect-oriented programming.
- Utilize DevOps tools and practices to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and maintenance.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance development capabilities.
Requirements & Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (BE/BTech, MTech, ME, MSc, MCA) in Computer Science, IT, or related fields with a minimum of 60% or 6 CGPA.
- Graduation year should be 2024 or 2025, with no active academic backlogs at the time of application.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C++, Python, or Node.js.
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts and software engineering principles.
- Familiarity with web technologies and frameworks used in enterprise application development.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps tools and practices for continuous integration and deployment.
- Exposure to scripting languages such as Ruby or Groovy is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a learning mindset and adaptability.
Expected Salary:
The expected salary for an Associate System Engineer at IBM in India typically ranges between ₹4 LPA to ₹8 LPA, depending on academic performance, technical skills, and interview performance.
