The Manufacturing Process & Quality Engineer Trainee role plays a critical part in improving operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with quality management systems across production lines. This role also provides valuable exposure to documentation practices, engineering change management, production support, and equipment maintenance activities. By contributing to lean manufacturing practices and Kaizen initiatives, trainees will help optimize productivity, reduce waste, and improve manufacturing performance across the facility.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor daily manufacturing line activities to ensure smooth production operations, improved productivity, and adherence to operational quality standards across all stages of manufacturing.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues arising on the production line by coordinating with cross-functional teams and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure all equipment calibration activities are completed according to the scheduled timeline while maintaining proper calibration records and documentation for compliance purposes.
- Perform equipment verification and validation activities related to manufacturing processes to ensure operational reliability, process consistency, and product quality assurance.
- Prepare detailed validation reports, verification reports, and technical documentation while maintaining revision history and ensuring document accuracy within the quality management system.
- Support equipment installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational readiness activities to minimize production downtime and improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Coordinate with supplier quality engineering teams for resolving material rejection issues, supplier follow-ups, rework management, and non-conforming material clearance activities.
- Maintain and manage non-conforming product areas by ensuring proper segregation, documentation, tracking, and resolution of rejected or defective materials.
- Assist in preparing and updating work instructions, device history records, and engineering change communications to maintain process consistency and compliance standards.
- Conduct training sessions for manufacturing teams regarding updated work instructions, process changes, safety standards, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen implementation, and Poka-Yoke projects to simplify production processes, eliminate defects, improve operational efficiency, and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety standards, quality management system procedures, HR policies, and administrative guidelines within the manufacturing facility.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Candidates must possess a B.E. or B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university with a strong academic background and understanding of manufacturing principles.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of relevant experience in manufacturing, production, quality assurance, or industrial engineering are eligible to apply for this role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems, equipment handling, and industrial quality standards is highly preferred for effective job performance.
- Understanding of calibration procedures, validation processes, verification methodologies, and quality documentation practices will provide an added advantage to applicants.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts, Kaizen techniques, Six Sigma basics, and continuous improvement methodologies is desirable for process optimization activities.
- Candidates should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of manufacturing defects and implement practical corrective solutions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, production operators, and engineering departments.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, quality management systems, and process flow analysis is important for handling technical responsibilities.
