Job Description

The Front End Lead Software Engineer role at S&P Global is a critical position within the Data Delivery Technology team, focused on building high-performance, scalable, and user-centric front-end applications. This role plays a direct part in delivering essential intelligence to internal stakeholders and global clients by ensuring data is presented through intuitive, reliable, and responsive user interfaces. As the UI for client onboarding is a newly developed application, you will have the opportunity to shape the front-end architecture from the ground up, influencing both technical direction and user experience standards.

In this role, you will work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate complex data delivery requirements into elegant React-based solutions. Your responsibilities will span from hands-on development to architectural decision-making, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability remain central. You will continuously analyze application behavior, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues proactively, contributing to a robust and future-ready front-end ecosystem used across the organization and by external clients.

As a senior and lead-level engineer, you will also drive best practices across the front-end development lifecycle. This includes advocating for test-driven development, improving code quality, and evolving architectural patterns. Your work directly supports S&P Global’s mission of advancing essential intelligence, enabling clients worldwide to make confident, data-driven decisions in fast-moving and complex markets.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the iterative development of modern front-end applications using React JS with a strong focus on usability and performance.

• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to shape UI designs that are both functional and user-friendly.

• Take ownership of front-end architecture, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and long-term performance.

• Analyze production and pre-production issues, isolate root causes, and implement effective resolutions.

• Drive continuous improvements in coding standards, architectural patterns, and front-end best practices.

• Contribute to technical discussions and influence design decisions across cross-functional teams.

• Ensure front-end applications integrate seamlessly with backend services and data delivery platforms.

• Promote and implement test-driven development practices to improve reliability and code quality.

• Mentor team members by sharing knowledge, reviewing code, and fostering a culture of technical excellence.

• Stay current with front-end technologies and industry trends to continuously modernize the technology stack.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience building front-end applications using React JS in enterprise environments.

• Strong understanding of modern JavaScript concepts, component-based architecture, and front-end performance optimization.

• Experience with Java (3–5 years) is desirable to support backend collaboration and full-stack understanding.

• Exposure to C++ is a bonus and indicates versatility across multiple programming paradigms.

• Proven experience with test-driven development and automated front-end testing practices.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and a passion for clean, maintainable code.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with product, design, and business stakeholders.

• Creative mindset with a strong focus on user experience and client-centric solutions.

• Solid academic background in BE, MCA, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, hybrid work environment with distributed teams.

Expected Salary

For a Front End Lead Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience in Noida, the expected salary typically ranges between ₹22 LPA to ₹40 LPA. Compensation may vary based on technical depth, leadership responsibilities, and overall experience level.
