Job Description:

The Testing Lead role at IDFC FIRST Bank is a critical position within the Technology and Digital Banking division, focused on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of modern banking applications. As a Technology Lead, you will play a key role in driving end-to-end testing strategies for microservices-based architectures, APIs, and enterprise applications. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable test automation frameworks for web, API, and event-driven systems such as Kafka. Your expertise in tools like Selenium, Core Java, and testing methodologies will help maintain robust testing processes and improve overall system performance.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks for web applications, APIs, and Kafka-based systems, ensuring robust testing coverage.
• Create and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing, ensuring application stability and performance.
• Perform performance testing and benchmarking to evaluate system scalability, responsiveness, and reliability under different load conditions.
• Integrate automated testing frameworks with CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless execution during build and deployment cycles.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify, analyze, and resolve defects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software products.
• Plan and execute manual and automated test cases, ensuring comprehensive validation of business requirements and system functionalities.
• Use version control systems like Git for managing test scripts, ensuring proper branching, merging, and repository maintenance.
• Analyze test results, generate detailed reports, and provide actionable insights to improve product quality and performance.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in automation tools, frameworks, and best practices, fostering a strong quality engineering culture.
• Continuously enhance testing processes, frameworks, and tools to improve efficiency, reduce defects, and accelerate release cycles.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc, B.Tech, BCA) or Master’s degree (M.Sc, M.Tech, MCA) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java and Selenium, with the ability to design and implement advanced automation frameworks.
• Proven experience in test automation for web applications, APIs, and distributed systems, including microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience in performance testing tools and techniques, enabling system benchmarking and optimization.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, ensuring seamless integration of automated testing processes.
• Proficiency in version control systems such as Git, including branching strategies and repository management.
• Experience with Kafka or event-driven architectures is preferred, adding value to testing complex distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve complex defects.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
