Job Description:

The Assistant Manager – Automation Testing role at BNP Paribas India Solutions is a senior-level opportunity for experienced QA professionals to lead automation initiatives within the Global Markets IT division. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation test frameworks using Selenium and programming languages like Java, Python, or C#, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
• Create, execute, and analyze automated test scripts for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing, ensuring robust system validation.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of automation frameworks, continuously improving efficiency and test coverage.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or TeamCity, ensuring seamless testing during build and deployment cycles.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify defects, analyze test results, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Document test results, maintain detailed reports, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders and team members.
• Drive new initiatives in automation testing, enhancing frameworks, tools, and processes for improved productivity.
• Work closely with onshore and offshore teams, providing regular updates, highlighting risks, and ensuring smooth project execution.
• Utilize test management tools such as JIRA, ALM, or TFS for tracking defects, managing test cases, and maintaining project documentation.
• Mentor junior QA engineers, guiding them in automation practices, tools, and best practices to build a strong quality engineering culture.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with strong foundational knowledge in software testing and development.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in automation testing, with hands-on expertise in Selenium-based test automation frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or C#, enabling efficient development and maintenance of automation scripts.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automation frameworks for enterprise-level applications.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or TeamCity, ensuring smooth integration of testing processes.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git, including branching, merging, and repository management.
• Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or TFS for effective test planning and defect tracking.
• Understanding of banking or capital markets domain is preferred, adding value to testing financial applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration with global teams and stakeholders.

Expected Salary:

For an Assistant Manager – Automation Testing role in Mumbai with 7+ years of experience, the typical salary ranges between ₹18 LPA to ₹35 LPA, depending on expertise in automation frameworks, domain knowledge in banking, and leadership capabilities.
