Job Description

NTT DATA is seeking a talented AI Developer to join its Digital Design and Development team in Hyderabad. This role focuses on building advanced AI-powered applications and scalable software systems that help organizations transform their digital capabilities. As an AI Developer, you will work with modern technologies such as machine learning algorithms, microservices architectures, and cloud platforms to develop innovative solutions that address complex business challenges. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to enterprise-scale AI initiatives while collaborating with global teams working on cutting-edge digital transformation projects.

In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing software modules and applications that leverage artificial intelligence and data-driven technologies. The role involves working with both structured and unstructured datasets, implementing machine learning models, and building APIs and microservices that integrate AI capabilities into modern applications. You will collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and cloud specialists to develop scalable systems that deliver reliable performance across distributed environments.

Additionally, the AI Developer will contribute to building and optimizing cloud-based solutions that operate across multiple platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. The role also includes supporting DevOps practices, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes. By combining strong programming expertise with knowledge of artificial intelligence and data engineering, the AI Developer will play an important role in driving innovation and delivering intelligent digital solutions for enterprise clients worldwide.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-powered software applications that support enterprise digital transformation initiatives and improve business efficiency through intelligent automation.

• Build and deploy machine learning models capable of analyzing structured and unstructured data, enabling predictive insights and intelligent decision-making within enterprise systems.

• Develop scalable microservices and RESTful APIs that integrate artificial intelligence capabilities into modern cloud-based applications and distributed software architectures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and software engineers to design innovative AI-driven solutions aligned with business goals.

• Work with large datasets and telemetry data to build machine learning pipelines that process, analyze, and generate insights for real-time or batch analytics systems.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle including application design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment of scalable software solutions.

• Implement automated testing processes and maintain code quality by following best practices in software development, version control, and agile development methodologies.

• Support integration of third-party tools and services while developing automation scripts to improve system efficiency and software deployment processes.

• Contribute to maintaining technical documentation, user guides, and operational procedures to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and system maintainability.

• Assist in optimizing distributed systems and improving performance, scalability, and reliability of AI-powered software platforms.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field. A strong academic background in programming and data science is highly preferred.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or Node.js, with hands-on experience in developing enterprise software applications.

• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence concepts including data modeling, predictive analytics, and AI integration into software systems.

• Experience working with microservices architecture and developing RESTful APIs that enable scalable and modular application development.

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including deployment and management of cloud-based applications.

• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, or similar database systems for managing large-scale datasets.

• Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, or similar container runtime environments.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices used for automated testing, integration, and deployment in modern software development pipelines.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize system performance.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in diverse global teams and fast-paced development environments.

Expected Salary

The typical salary for an AI Developer or Software Development Engineer working with artificial intelligence technologies in India ranges between ₹10 LPA to ₹22 LPA, depending on experience, programming expertise, and knowledge of AI frameworks, cloud platforms, and microservices architecture. Candidates with strong experience in machine learning, cloud infrastructure, and large-scale distributed systems may receive higher compensation packages along with additional benefits and performance incentives.
