S&P Global is hiring Associate Operations professionals for its Enterprise Solutions division in Gurugram, Haryana. As an Associate Operations, you will become part of the Financial Operations & Reporting Team, which plays a critical role in managing client billing, financial reporting, invoice validation, contract support, and revenue assurance. Working with one of the world's leading providers of financial intelligence, market data, and analytics, you will contribute to business operations that directly support global clients while gaining exposure to enterprise financial systems and cross-functional business processes.
In this role, you will work closely with internal departments including Sales, Finance, Operations, Product Management, Contract Management, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Client Services to ensure accurate billing, reporting, and revenue management. Your responsibilities will include validating financial data, generating operational reports, resolving invoice disputes, supporting revenue assurance activities, and maintaining high levels of data accuracy. You will also utilize Microsoft Excel extensively for reporting and analysis, while gaining opportunities to work with SQL, Power Query, and Python, which are considered valuable additional skills. By analyzing operational data and supporting financial processes, you will help leadership teams make informed business decisions that contribute to organizational growth and operational efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Support client billing operations by ensuring invoices are generated accurately, validated thoroughly, and delivered within agreed business timelines while maintaining compliance with organizational standards.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the complete business lifecycle, including sales operations, contract management, order management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing processes, and revenue assurance activities.
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain financial reports, billing summaries, utilization reports, customer contract reports, and various ad hoc operational reports for business stakeholders.
- Perform detailed validation of financial transactions, billing records, and operational data to ensure high levels of accuracy and identify discrepancies before report submission.
- Investigate invoice disputes, perform root cause analysis, coordinate with internal departments, and support timely resolution of client and business partner queries.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel extensively for financial analysis, report preparation, data validation, reconciliation, dashboard creation, and operational reporting activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product Management, Finance, Operations, Development, Client Services, and Contract Management to support seamless business operations.
- Perform quality control checks on reports and operational deliverables to ensure compliance with internal policies, reporting standards, and business processes.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines, maintaining productivity, and ensuring consistent service quality in a fast-paced business environment.
- Continuously improve operational efficiency by learning new reporting tools, strengthening analytical capabilities, and supporting process improvement initiatives across the Financial Operations team.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Applications, or any related discipline from a recognized university.
- Preferred experience of 0 to 1.5 years in financial operations, business operations, billing, reporting, finance, data analysis, or related business support functions.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, data analysis, reporting, reconciliation, charts, and advanced spreadsheet functions.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, Power Query, or Python is considered an added advantage for reporting automation, analytics, and business intelligence activities.
- Good understanding of financial reporting, billing operations, invoice processing, revenue assurance, business workflows, and operational support processes.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail while validating financial data and investigating reporting discrepancies.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate professionally with internal stakeholders, business partners, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, manage deadlines efficiently, and work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to maintain accurate documentation, reporting records, operational trackers, and business process documentation.
- Passion for continuous learning, process improvement, financial analytics, business intelligence, and developing expertise in enterprise financial operations.
Expected Salary
