Job Description:
Tata Communications is hiring a Jr. Engineer β Cloud Operations to join its dynamic operations team in Chennai. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of customer-reported issues, ensuring timely investigation, resolution, and communication throughout the incident lifecycle.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system, network, and application issues using appropriate tools and methodologies to identify root causes.
- Provide effective solutions to technical problems, ensuring minimal disruption to customer services and maintaining system reliability.
- Follow standard operating procedures for escalation of unresolved issues to relevant internal teams, ensuring proper documentation and tracking.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues to prevent service disruptions and maintain SLA compliance.
- Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) by delivering high-quality support and meeting response and resolution timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve overall service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps in internal systems for future reference.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies, tools, and industry trends to enhance operational efficiency and technical expertise.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and suggesting enhancements.
Requirements & Eligibility:
- Bachelorβs degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 0β1 year of experience in technical support or cloud operations.
- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, networking fundamentals, and system operations in enterprise environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Experience or exposure to customer service support in fast-paced, high-availability (24x7) environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of incident management and escalation processes in IT service management (ITSM) frameworks.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and internal teams effectively.
- Ability to work in shifts and adapt to dynamic work environments with changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality support services.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve technical and professional skills.
- A proactive attitude with a growth mindset and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Expected Salary:
