As a Simulation Automation Apprentice, you will be part of the Mixed-Signal Verification team, where you will develop automation solutions that improve engineering productivity and optimize simulation workflows. You will work on designing scripts, utilities, and tools that streamline verification activities, eliminate manual bottlenecks, and improve the efficiency of semiconductor design validation processes. By leveraging programming languages such as Python and C/C++, you will help create scalable automation frameworks that support complex engineering environments. Roles & Responsibilities
• Develop automation utilities and productivity enhancement tools that support semiconductor verification and simulation workflows.
• Create and maintain scripts using Python, C++, or related programming languages to automate repetitive engineering tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Support the Mixed-Signal Verification team by optimizing simulation processes and reducing manual intervention through automation solutions.
• Analyze existing verification workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Design, test, and deploy automation frameworks that enhance simulation performance and engineering productivity.
• Collaborate closely with verification engineers and technical teams to understand project requirements and deliver scalable automation solutions.
• Troubleshoot simulation issues and develop tools that help improve reliability, accuracy, and execution efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by proposing innovative ideas and implementing engineering best practices.
• Participate in technical discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions, and collaborative problem-solving activities within the team.
• Document automation processes, scripts, technical solutions, and project outcomes to support long-term maintainability and team collaboration.
• Assist in testing and validating automation tools to ensure they meet quality standards and project objectives.
• Continuously learn new technologies, programming techniques, and semiconductor verification methodologies to enhance technical expertise.
Requirements & Eligibility
• Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Fresh graduates from the 2024 or 2025 graduating batches are eligible to apply for this apprenticeship opportunity.
• Candidates should not be currently enrolled in or have completed an M.Tech program, postgraduate diploma, or equivalent higher education program.
• Applicants should not be employed in any full-time position; prior internship experience is acceptable and may be advantageous.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or both, with the ability to write scripts and automation utilities independently.
• Solid understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and software development concepts.
• Graduate-level knowledge of electronic circuits, semiconductor devices, transistor operation, and basic analog and digital electronics principles.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with the capability to address complex technical challenges effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while working on technical and engineering tasks.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies, automation techniques, semiconductor workflows, and engineering best practices.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements and thrive in a fast-paced technology-driven environment.
Expected Salary
The expected stipend for the Synopsys Simulation Automation Apprenticeship in Bengaluru typically ranges between ₹3.5 LPA and ₹6 LPA, depending on academic performance, technical skills, internship experience, and overall candidate profile.
