Volvo Group is inviting applications for the Graduate Apprentice Trainee position under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), offering fresh engineering graduates an excellent opportunity to gain practical industry experience in digital transformation, business analytics, and data-driven decision-making. Based in Hoskote, Bangalore, this one-year apprenticeship program is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industrial applications. As a Graduate Apprentice Trainee, you will work on live business projects, analyze operational data, build reports, and support digital initiatives that improve efficiency across business processes. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about analytics, automation, and technology-driven business transformation.
During the apprenticeship, you will collaborate with operational teams in Hoskote and solution experts from Volvo Group's global network. Your responsibilities will include collecting and analyzing business data, identifying trends, developing dashboards, and supporting data-driven decision-making through statistical analysis and reporting. The role emphasizes hands-on learning with modern analytics tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau while providing exposure to digital transformation initiatives within a globally recognized manufacturing and transportation organization. Interns will develop strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and technical expertise through practical project assignments.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and analyze business data from multiple sources to identify operational trends, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities that support informed business decisions.
- Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools to present actionable insights.
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and transformation activities to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability for reporting and business analysis.
- Build and maintain data models that help business teams monitor key performance indicators and improve operational efficiency.
- Extract and manipulate data using SQL queries to support reporting requirements, business analysis, and decision-making processes.
- Conduct statistical analysis on large datasets to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Collaborate with operational teams, business stakeholders, and global solution experts to understand business challenges and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Support digital transformation and automation initiatives by identifying manual processes that can be improved through technology and analytics.
- Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations that communicate analytical findings clearly to business users and project stakeholders.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting innovative ideas that enhance productivity, reporting accuracy, and business performance.
- Ensure compliance with organizational data governance standards while maintaining confidentiality and integrity of business information.
- Learn new analytical tools, business processes, and digital technologies while actively contributing to ongoing organizational projects.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, or a related engineering discipline from a recognized university.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret business data and convert insights into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Lookup Functions, charts, formulas, and advanced data analysis features.
- Basic knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization platforms used for creating business intelligence dashboards and reports.
- Understanding of data collection, data cleansing, validation techniques, and reporting methodologies for business analytics.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for querying databases, extracting relevant information, and performing data manipulation tasks.
- Familiarity with statistical concepts, data interpretation techniques, and quantitative analysis methods for identifying business trends.
- Good communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain analytical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong willingness to learn emerging technologies related to business intelligence, automation, digital transformation, and advanced analytics.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams while demonstrating initiative, adaptability, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset in a global work environment.
Expected Salary
As this role is offered under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), selected candidates typically receive a monthly stipend ranging between ₹18,000 and ₹28,000, depending on company policies, educational qualifications, and applicable apprenticeship guidelines. In addition to the stipend, apprentices receive structured on-the-job training, mentorship from industry experts, hands-on experience with enterprise technologies, and valuable exposure to Volvo Group's global business operations, significantly enhancing future employment opportunities.
