Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on functional and design specifications to ensure application quality.
• Collaborate with team members to review requirements and identify test scenarios, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
• Design and implement automation scripts to improve testing efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to validate system performance and reliability.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and report issues to stakeholders for timely resolution.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues, providing insights and recommendations to improve system performance.
• Prepare detailed testing documentation and reports throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by identifying gaps and suggesting enhancements in testing processes.
• Estimate effort and timelines for testing activities, supporting project planning and delivery.
• Mentor and guide junior testers, sharing knowledge and best practices in QA and automation.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in software testing.
• 2–4 years of experience in software testing or QA automation roles, with hands-on exposure to testing tools and frameworks.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of automation scripting and tools, enabling efficient test execution.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) processes.
• Experience in functional and regression testing, ensuring application stability and performance.
• Familiarity with programming or scripting languages used in automation testing is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in identifying defects and issues.
• Good communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and testing methodologies to enhance skills.

Expected Salary:

For an Automation Tester with 2–4 years of experience in Bangalore, the typical salary ranges between ₹5 LPA to ₹12 LPA, depending on technical skills, automation exposure, and project experience.
