SAP – Developer Associate (Software Design and Development)

In this position, you will collaborate with global engineering teams to design, develop, and optimize software solutions using modern technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js. You will play a key role in implementing clean coding practices, performing code reviews, and ensuring high-quality deliverables through methodologies like Test-Driven Development (TDD). The role also involves working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL to ensure efficient data management and performance optimization across applications.

As part of SAP’s Cross Product Engineering and Experience (CPEX) unit, you will contribute to building centralized configuration tools for enterprise applications, enabling seamless integration across SAP products like S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, and more. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance scalable, high-performance applications that support enterprise-level workloads and multi-tenant architectures. Ensure reliability and efficiency in all solutions.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to design and implement optimal technical solutions aligned with business requirements and system architecture.
• Apply clean coding principles, including peer code reviews, unit testing, and performance optimization, to maintain high-quality code standards.
• Implement best practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), ensuring robust and maintainable software solutions.
• Work with databases like PostgreSQL to design efficient data models and optimize query performance for large-scale applications.
• Contribute to DevOps practices by supporting automation, continuous integration, and deployment processes.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring timely delivery of features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to deliver high-quality software solutions across distributed environments.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring applications can handle high volumes of data and users.
• Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance development practices and innovation.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (B.Tech, M.Tech, or MCA) in Computer Science or a related field from a reputed institution.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in software development, preferably in cloud-based environments and Agile methodologies.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript with a willingness to learn or experience in TypeScript. Solid understanding of Node.js for backend development.
• Knowledge of Golang is an added advantage, providing flexibility in working with diverse technology stacks.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and optimization.
• Good understanding of software design principles, including modularity, scalability, and maintainability.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud deployment strategies.
• Experience with testing methodologies such as unit testing, integration testing, and TDD.
• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail to handle complex development challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in global and cross-functional teams.
