Salesforce – Software Engineering AMTS (Tableau)

In this role, you will be involved across the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of both client-side and server-side components. You will work closely with experienced engineers, product managers, and architects to deliver high-quality features while learning modern engineering practices. Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable client-side and server-side software components for Tableau products.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve customer-reported defects and production issues within defined timelines.

• Analyze product logs, crash dumps, network traces, and diagnostic data to identify root causes of issues.

• Write high-quality code for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes while adhering to coding and quality standards.

• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure long-term reliability and prevent regression issues.

• Understand how individual modules integrate with the broader Tableau and Salesforce product ecosystem.

• Collaborate in a hybrid engineering model with product managers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Leverage AI tools throughout the development lifecycle to improve efficiency and solution quality.

• Document reproduction steps, root cause analysis findings, and fix explanations clearly and accurately.

• Provide regular status updates, share progress transparently, and communicate blockers with mentors and senior engineers.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline from a recognized institution.

• 0–2 years of relevant software development experience, including internships, academic projects, or early professional roles.

• Strong working knowledge of C++ (C++17 or later) or Java (Java 17 or later) with solid programming fundamentals.

• Exposure to additional languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or C# is considered an advantage.

• Good understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, design patterns, and software architecture principles.

• Familiarity with multithreading, concurrency, event-driven systems, and performance optimization techniques.

• Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL queries, and basic understanding of non-relational databases.

• Understanding of Agile development methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, source control, and testing practices.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail and quality.

• Preferred exposure to enterprise SaaS products, cloud platforms, distributed systems, or personal/open-source projects.

Expected Salary

For a Software Engineering AMTS role at Salesforce in India, the expected salary typically ranges between ₹12 LPA to ₹20 LPA, depending on educational background, technical expertise, and interview performance.
