London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is offering an exciting Engineering Graduate Associate opportunity for final-year students and upcoming graduates who want to build a career in technology, software engineering, financial markets, and data-driven solutions. This 12-month Early Career Programme is designed to help graduates develop strong technical foundations while working on real-world projects supporting global financial markets infrastructure. The Engineering Graduate Associate programme provides exposure to multiple technology disciplines, allowing candidates to contribute to different stages of the technology lifecycle. Depending on the assigned role, graduates may work in Software and Platform Engineering, Quality Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Cyber Security, Service Management, Service Operations, Data Science, Machine Learning, or Financial Engineering. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Contribute to software and platform engineering projects by developing, maintaining, testing, and improving applications, infrastructure, and technology systems that support LSEG's products and services.
  • Participate in the complete software engineering lifecycle, including requirements understanding, technical development, testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
  • Work with engineering teams to identify technical challenges, analyze potential solutions, and implement reliable technology improvements that enhance application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Support Quality Engineering activities by helping identify defects, validate requirements, develop test scenarios, and ensure that applications meet functional, technical, and business expectations.
  • Contribute to Reliability Engineering initiatives focused on application availability, performance, resilience, monitoring, incident prevention, and rapid recovery from technology failures.
  • Support cybersecurity teams in assessing technology risks, implementing security controls, protecting systems and data, and ensuring engineering practices align with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in Service Engineering and Service Management activities, helping maintain operational governance, service standards, lifecycle processes, and ITIL-aligned practices across technology services.
  • Work with Service Operations teams to monitor systems and services, investigate incidents, coordinate issue resolution, and help maintain high levels of availability and operational performance.
  • Support Data Science and Machine Learning initiatives by applying statistical, analytical, computational, and programming skills to build models, generate insights, and develop data-driven technology solutions.
  • Assist Financial Engineering teams in developing and implementing quantitative models that support financial product pricing, risk management, transaction processing, and financial data analysis.
  • Participate in Agile development activities, collaborate with colleagues from different technology disciplines, contribute to team discussions, and continuously improve engineering processes and delivery practices.
  • Build strong technical and professional capabilities through mentorship, structured learning, hands-on projects, feedback, and exposure to experienced engineers working on global financial technology solutions.

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Candidates must be final-year undergraduate or Master's students who are expected to graduate by August 2027, making this programme particularly suitable for students preparing to begin their professional technology careers.
  • Applicants should be pursuing BE/BTech in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or an equivalent technical specialization.
