Job Description

As an Associate QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring end-to-end product quality for embedded systems that drive high-performance video and broadband platforms. This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world systems testing in a fast-paced Agile environment, working at the intersection of software, hardware, and networking technologies.

In this position, you will be responsible for executing existing test plans, validating feature-level functionality, and identifying failures across complete system setups. You will work closely with Device Under Test (DUT) environments, collaborating daily with development and QA teams to debug issues, verify fixes, and maintain high-quality standards. The role provides an excellent foundation for fresh graduates to develop strong QA fundamentals while gaining exposure to industry-grade debugging tools, embedded systems, and networking concepts.

As part of Harmonic’s broadband and video systems team, you will contribute directly to products used by global operators delivering live and on-demand content at scale. Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end functional testing of multidisciplinary embedded systems (software and hardware).

• Execute and validate existing test plans in Agile development environments.

• Identify, analyze, and debug failures on complete system-level setups.

• Verify fixes and collaborate closely with development teams during defect resolution.

• Work hands-on with Devices Under Test (DUT) and system integration environments.

• Ensure product quality, stability, and functional correctness across features.

• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to support release readiness.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (2024 or 2025 pass-outs only).

• Minimum 70% academic score with no backlogs.

• Strong understanding of Layer 3 networking protocols.

• Good knowledge of Linux fundamentals (preferred).

• Exposure to scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash is an advantage.

• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple technical teams.
