Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using modern automation tools like Playwright and Cypress to ensure application stability and performance.
• Perform comprehensive database testing using SQL, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and define effective testing strategies.
• Create and execute automation frameworks that improve testing efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance defect detection rates.
• Identify, debug, and resolve software defects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality releases with minimal production issues.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to align testing activities with development cycles.
• Analyze functional and non-functional requirements to design detailed test cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Monitor and report testing progress, defects, and quality metrics using tools like Jira and ALM to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous testing practices to accelerate release cycles and improve software reliability.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in automation testing to continuously enhance testing capabilities and processes.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MCA, or a related technical field, ensuring a strong academic foundation in software development and testing.
• Hands-on experience in QA automation and functional testing, with a clear understanding of software testing methodologies and defect life cycle.
• Proficiency in UI automation tools such as Playwright and Cypress, with the ability to build scalable and maintainable test frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience in database testing using tools like SQL Server Management Studio for validating backend data.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum practices, enabling effective collaboration in fast-paced development environments.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, ALM, and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to analyze business requirements, design test scenarios, and define clear acceptance criteria for successful project delivery.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills to identify root causes of issues across environments and systems.
• Basic understanding of Unix environments and exposure to technologies like KDB, which is beneficial for domain-specific applications.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.
• Quick learning ability and adaptability to new technologies, tools, and AI-driven testing approaches in a rapidly evolving environment.
