Job Description:

Five9 is offering an exciting opportunity for aspiring software engineers to join its Apprentice Program in Product Engineering at its Bangalore office. This apprenticeship program is designed to provide hands-on experience in real-world product development environments, enabling fresh graduates to build strong technical foundations while working on modern technology stacks such as .NET Core and Python.

In this role, you will collaborate with experienced engineers to design, develop, and maintain software applications that power Five9’s cloud-based platforms. You will gain exposure to the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC), including coding, testing, debugging, and deployment. The position emphasizes learning best practices in microservices architecture, REST API development, and Agile methodologies. You will also contribute to feature enhancements, bug fixes, and backend service improvements, helping deliver high-quality software solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications using .NET Core and/or Python technologies.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code under the guidance of senior developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to contribute to project progress.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in backend services and APIs, ensuring system stability and performance.
• Contribute to feature development, enhancements, and bug fixes within microservices-based architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and Product Management to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Learn and apply version control practices using tools like Git, ensuring proper code management and collaboration.
• Assist in documenting technical workflows, processes, and solutions for knowledge sharing and maintainability.
• Support testing processes and deployment pipelines, ensuring smooth release cycles and application reliability.
• Continuously learn new technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance development skills and productivity.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree or final-year student in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as C# or Python, with an understanding of coding fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and software design principles.
• Basic understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms, providing a foundation for problem-solving.
• Knowledge of web development fundamentals, including REST APIs and HTTP protocols.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL for data management and querying.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to debug issues and develop effective solutions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies in a fast-paced development environment.
• Exposure to frameworks such as ASP.NET Core, Flask, or FastAPI, and tools like Git or Docker is an added advantage.

Expected Salary:

The expected salary or stipend for a Product Engineering Apprentice at Five9 in Bangalore typically ranges between ₹4 LPA to ₹8 LPA (or equivalent stipend structure), depending on skills, academic background, and technical knowledge.
