Job Description
Apotex is seeking a Junior Officer β Quality to join its Quality Control (QC) and Analytical Operations (AO) team in Bangalore. The role involves hands-on laboratory work, including sample analysis, preparation of reagents, and maintaining quality control procedures. The candidate will be responsible for testing in-process samples, evaluating raw and packing materials, and ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Additionally, the role requires monitoring environmental conditions, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring that all testing processes align with global quality and safety standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform analysis of in-process samples, raw materials, intermediates, and finished products as per quality control procedures.

Conduct sampling of raw materials, packing materials, and finished goods in compliance with standard protocols.

Analyze water samples such as DM and MilliQ water to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Prepare reagent solutions, volumetric solutions, and perform standardization as required in laboratory testing.

Maintain and update release and rejection labels based on analysis results.

Monitor temperature and environmental conditions of laboratory chambers to ensure compliance.

Ensure adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and maintain cleanliness and safety within the lab.

Document test results accurately and maintain records in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Follow Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines during all laboratory operations.

Collaborate with team members and contribute to achieving departmental quality objectives.
Requirements & Eligibility

Masterβs degree in Science (Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field).

Minimum 1 year of experience in a Quality Control (QC) department within the pharmaceutical or related industry.

Strong understanding of pharmaceutical quality standards and laboratory practices.

Knowledge of analytical techniques and testing methodologies used in QC labs.

Ability to troubleshoot issues and make decisions based on analytical data.

Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards such as GLP, GMP, and quality policies.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.

Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency.

Awareness of safety protocols and adherence to EHS policies in laboratory environments.
