Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services that support payment processing, transaction management, authentication workflows, merchant integrations, and other critical financial operations while maintaining performance and reliability.
• Build and maintain robust business logic layers capable of handling evolving payment requirements, regulatory changes, and integration needs across multiple payment ecosystems and channels.
• Develop and integrate APIs that facilitate secure communication between merchants, banks, payment gateways, and internal systems while ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Optimize application performance and system efficiency by identifying bottlenecks, improving response times, and implementing engineering best practices for high-throughput environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, frontend developers, infrastructure engineers, and data scientists to deliver end-to-end payment solutions.
• Contribute to framework and platform development initiatives that simplify application development, improve developer productivity, and support low-code or no-code capabilities.
• Participate in architectural discussions to design resilient systems capable of supporting millions of transactions while maintaining high availability and fault tolerance.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting mechanisms to proactively identify issues, improve observability, and enhance system reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following engineering standards, code review practices, and software development best practices.
• Support large-scale payment infrastructure projects by contributing to distributed systems, automation initiatives, and platform engineering efforts.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and engineering practices to improve platform capabilities, operational efficiency, and product innovation.
• Ensure security, reliability, and compliance standards are considered throughout the software development lifecycle, particularly in payment-related systems.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline with a strong academic background and solid understanding of software engineering principles.
• Strong programming fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, problem-solving techniques, and software design concepts.
• Interest in backend development and distributed systems, with a willingness to work on large-scale applications handling high transaction volumes and mission-critical workloads.
• Understanding of APIs, web services, and system integration concepts, including REST-based architectures and client-server communication models.
• Knowledge of databases and data management concepts, including SQL, data modeling, query optimization, and transactional systems.
• Passion for scalable system design and performance engineering, with an interest in solving reliability and latency challenges in production environments.
• Exposure to functional programming concepts is advantageous, especially for candidates interested in building highly maintainable and expressive backend architectures.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement effective technical solutions.
