Job Description
Deloitte is hiring an Associate Analyst β Automation Testing for its Quality Engineering team in Bengaluru, offering an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates and early-career professionals who want to build a strong career in software testing and test automation. The role focuses on improving application quality through systematic test planning, automated test execution, defect identification, and continuous quality validation. As an Associate Automation Test Engineer, you will work closely with developers, business analysts, senior QA professionals, and project stakeholders to understand functional requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and automated test cases. The position provides practical exposure to enterprise-level software testing, web application testing, API testing, regression testing, and modern quality engineering practices.
The role also offers an opportunity to develop hands-on expertise with widely used automation testing technologies such as Selenium WebDriver, Java or Python, Postman, REST Assured, SQL, Git, and testing frameworks. You will participate in different stages of the Software Testing Life Cycle and contribute to functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing activities. Working within an Agile/Scrum environment, you will take part in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve software defects efficiently. Your responsibilities will extend beyond test execution to include maintaining automation scripts, preparing quality documentation, tracking defects, reporting test results, and supporting quality metrics. This makes the position particularly suitable for candidates seeking an entry-level automation testing job in Bengaluru.
As part of Deloitteβs Technology & Transformation engineering environment, you can gain exposure to large-scale technology projects and structured quality engineering processes. The organization provides opportunities to learn from experienced QA professionals while working with enterprise automation frameworks and evolving testing technologies. Candidates with internship experience, academic projects, or hands-on exposure to Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, Jenkins, API testing, and Git can strengthen their suitability for the position. - Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate defect management systems, providing clear reproduction steps, supporting evidence, severity information, and technical observations for development teams.
- Collaborate with developers and project stakeholders to investigate application issues, reproduce defects, validate fixes, and ensure that identified problems are resolved before software releases.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, while communicating testing progress, risks, blockers, and quality concerns.
- Maintain testing documentation and execution reports, including test cases, automation results, defect reports, test summaries, and other quality-related documentation required by the project.
- Use version control and development practices such as Git to manage automation code, collaborate with team members, and maintain organized test automation assets.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by exploring new testing tools, frameworks, automation techniques, and quality engineering practices that can improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
