Job Description:
WPP is hiring a Junior Digital Support Engineer to join its technology-driven team in Chennai. In this role, you will be responsible for managing technical issues, troubleshooting CMS-based applications, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of digital platforms. You will work with tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, and Confluence to track and resolve incidents while adhering to service level agreements (SLAs). The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and third-party agencies.
Additionally, this role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in web technologies, content management systems, and digital marketing platforms. You will be involved in tasks such as website maintenance, content updates, QA testing, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve technical issues related to web applications and CMS platforms, ensuring minimal disruption to client services.
- Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, and provide effective solutions while maintaining detailed documentation of issues and resolutions.
- Handle issue management processes, including logging, tracking, prioritizing, and escalating incidents as required.
- Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and maintain high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Perform day-to-day website maintenance, including content updates, page edits, and ensuring proper functionality across platforms.
- Work with tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, and Confluence for ticket management, documentation, and collaboration.
- Conduct manual testing, including visual testing, cross-browser compatibility checks, and functional testing of digital applications.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party agencies to resolve complex issues and ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues to prevent service disruptions.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear updates on issue status and resolutions.
Requirements & Eligibility:
- Bachelorβs degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Basic understanding of web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles.
- Familiarity with content management systems such as Drupal, Umbraco, or similar platforms for managing web content.
- Knowledge of incident management processes, including problem, change, and release management frameworks.
- Experience or exposure to tools like ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, or similar ticketing and collaboration platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work based on urgency and business impact.
- Attention to detail and a strong focus on delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in digital marketing, web technologies, and continuous learning in emerging tools and platforms.
Expected Salary:
The expected salary for a Junior Digital Support Engineer at WPP in India typically ranges between βΉ3.5 LPA to βΉ7 LPA, depending on experience, technical skills, and overall fit for the role.
