Roles & Responsibilities:

• Analyze large and complex datasets from multiple sources to extract meaningful insights that support business decisions and product improvements.
• Develop and implement statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and data pipelines to process and analyze structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, define problem statements, and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and integration to ensure high-quality datasets for analysis and modeling.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that can inform strategic decisions.
• Build predictive models using techniques such as regression, decision trees, and neural networks, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Test and validate models using real-world data, optimizing performance and accuracy through iterative improvements.
• Contribute to research and development of new AI/ML techniques, including prototyping and deployment of innovative solutions.
• Document methodologies, findings, and insights clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to continuously improve skills and solutions.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python and SQL, with the ability to handle large datasets efficiently.
• Understanding of statistical concepts, data analysis techniques, and machine learning algorithms used in real-world applications.
• Familiarity with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques to ensure robust analysis.
• Ability to work with both structured and unstructured data, including experience with data integration and transformation processes.
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and tools, along with the ability to build and deploy predictive models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a data-driven mindset.
• Good communication skills to present insights and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Preferred: Master’s degree or relevant experience in data science or related fields, providing deeper expertise in advanced analytics.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies in a rapidly evolving data science landscape.

Expected Salary:

The expected salary for a Data Scientist at Microsoft in India typically ranges between ₹15 LPA to ₹30 LPA, depending on experience, technical expertise, and role level.
