KONE – Full Stack Developer

Job Description:

KONE, a global leader in elevator and escalator technology, is hiring a Full Stack Developer for its Research and Development division in Pune and Chennai. In this role, you will contribute to building and maintaining modern web applications that support digital solutions across KONE’s technology ecosystem. As a Full Stack Developer, you will work on both front-end and back-end components, ensuring seamless integration between user interfaces, application logic, and databases. Your work will directly support the development of innovative digital platforms that enhance operational efficiency and user experience.

The role involves developing responsive user interfaces using modern front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript while building robust server-side applications using languages like Python, Java, or Node.js. You will design and manage database structures, develop APIs, and integrate multiple application components to deliver scalable solutions. By focusing on performance, reliability, and maintainability, you will help create enterprise-grade applications that meet the evolving needs of KONE’s global operations.

Working within a collaborative R&D environment, you will partner with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will also participate in testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure applications operate efficiently across different environments. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

2. Develop server-side logic and APIs using backend technologies such as Python, Java, or Node.js.

3. Build and manage database systems to ensure data integrity, scalability, and high performance.

4. Integrate front-end and back-end components to create seamless and efficient web applications.

5. Perform application testing, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure reliable functionality.

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI designers, developers, and product managers.

7. Maintain and upgrade existing web applications to improve performance and user experience.

8. Follow best practices in coding, version control, and application architecture.

9. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.

10. Ensure application security, scalability, and maintainability throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

2. Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in full stack web development.

3. Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for building modern user interfaces.

4. Strong experience with backend programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.

5. Experience with relational or NoSQL databases and server management.

6. Good understanding of REST APIs and web application architecture.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical challenges effectively.

8. Experience working in collaborative development environments with cross-functional teams.

9. Familiarity with modern development tools, frameworks, and version control systems.

10. Ability to deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-quality software solutions.

Expected Salary:

For a Full Stack Developer with 4+ years of experience in Pune or Chennai, the typical salary range generally falls between ₹8 LPA to ₹16 LPA depending on expertise in backend technologies, database management, and full stack frameworks. Professionals with strong cloud integration skills and experience in enterprise software development may command higher compensation within the product engineering domain.
