Guidehouse is hiring a Data Analyst for its EBO Management Information System (India) team in Chennai and Trivandrum. This full-time role focuses on backend PMO support, MIS reporting, and advanced data analysis to drive operational efficiency and governance excellence. In this role, you will translate high-level client requirements into actionable analytical tasks and collaborate with internal teams to deliver data-driven recommendations. You will manage backend PMO activities including timesheet tracking, invoice oversight, roster management, and compliance documentation. A key part of your responsibilities will involve developing advanced MIS reports and dashboards using MS Excel (Power Pivot, Power Query, VBA) and Power BI. Strong quantitative skills will help you analyze data from multiple sources, conduct quality checks, and present insights to stakeholders clearly and effectively.

Beyond reporting, you will contribute to process automation initiatives by leveraging VBA macros and Power Platform tools to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Analyze high-level client requirements and break them down into structured analytical tasks and reporting deliverables.

2. Develop and maintain advanced MIS reports and dashboards using MS Excel (Power Pivot, Power Query, formulas, macros).

3. Perform backend PMO activities including timesheet management, invoice tracking, roster updates, and compliance documentation.

4. Conduct internal data analysis and quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of reports.

5. Create interactive dashboards using Power BI to present actionable insights to business stakeholders.

6. Support process automation initiatives using VBA, macros, and Power Platform tools.

7. Document governance activities and maintain structured reporting templates for repeatable processes.

8. Interpret quantitative and qualitative data to provide clear recommendations to leadership.

9. Ensure adherence to compliance requirements and internal standards in all reporting activities.

10. Work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, IT, Analytics, or a related field.

2. Minimum 1 year of experience in data analysis, MIS reporting, or backend PMO support roles.

3. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel including Power Pivot, Power Query, formulas, and VBA macros.

4. Working knowledge of Power BI for dashboard creation and data visualization.

5. Strong quantitative and analytical skills to interpret data from multiple sources.

6. Solid understanding of Microsoft Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

7. Experience in data modelling, transformation, and automation processes.

8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present insights effectively.

9. Ability to proactively identify issues, troubleshoot data discrepancies, and implement solutions.

10. Nice to Have: Familiarity with PowerApps and Power Automate for enhanced process automation.

Expected Salary:

For a Data Analyst with 1–3 years of experience in MIS reporting and automation in Chennai or Trivandrum, the expected salary typically ranges between ₹4.5 LPA to ₹8 LPA depending on expertise in Excel automation, Power BI dashboards, and PMO management processes. Compensation may vary based on hands-on experience with VBA-driven automation and enterprise compliance reporting.
